Blue Waters Inn on the River at Pine Falls The lodge features 6 bedrooms with two on the ground floor and four upstairs. Two of the rooms have river views. The ground floor includes our kitchen and dining areas, as well as a lounging area where you can unwind, swap fish tales, and enjoy the big screen satellite T.V. and music center. On the second floor you'll enjoy the use of a sauna, an exercise room, and balcony that faces the setting sun. On the side facing the river there is a 40x12 ft screened in porch with 6 person spa. At the waterfront you find a rocky shoreline with a small sand beach next to our docks and deck jutting out over the water. You can catch several species of fish right from the shore, docks, and deck, including, walleye, sauger, perch, northerns, and several species of bass. Although we are right at the rapids, our piece of waterfront is mostly in a slow back current where you can enjoy unsupervised swimming. On summer vacation? Perhaps you and your friends or family would enjoy a guided boat tour of the river. Pack along a lunch and enjoy some time on one of the many beaches in the area. There a good chance to see wildlife too since this area is a haven for waterbirds and animals like otter, deer, moose, bear, and others. Looking for an exciting day of fishing? Our guides have 15 to 20 years of experience fishing the magnificent Winnipeg River. We can also take you by boat to Traverse Bay and Lake Winnipeg, as well as guide you to our favourite fishing holes on both sides of the Powerview Dam. Blue Waters Inn Rates Housekeeping Accommodations All rooms in the lodge are $60 per person per day in Canadian funds; taxes are extra. The works are available including fridge and freezer, fish cookers, large bbq. grill and propane stoves, as well as our regular kitchen facilities. They are reduced rates for couples. The Lodge has: 3 Riverview bedrooms with Queen-sized bed, 2 Bedrooms with Double-sized bed, 1 Bedroom with Twin-sized bed. Available for 2002 is our deluxe riverside cabin sleeping six. We are already booking for the big fall run of 2002. Reserve your spot now. Rates for larger groups and extended stays are available on request. We also have American plan packages; contact us for additional details. Guided Fishing Package Cost for guided fishing depends on the number of people in the boat. Rates are based on spending 8-9 hours on the water and include all live bait and the option for a shorelunch or picnic lunch on one of our beautiful beaches. If you choose a picnic lunch, you can look forward to a fish-fry for supper. Our guide boat is a newer and very well maintained 1900 Lund Pro V, Gary Roach Edition, with 100 hp: it's a big and safe boat. Almost 20 feet of walleye-catching comfort! Leon, your host and guide, has 20 years of experience fishing and in safe boating on these waters. Your captain doesn't take chances whether in the river or on the big water of Traverse Bay and Lake Winnipeg. Guiding Rates, in U.S. funds, per person: 2 people: $135 3 people: $125 4 people: $110 Cruising to Lake Winnipeg Leon also charters a 30 ft cabin cruiser which sleeps six. It is well-equipped with bbq., stereo, full washroom, shower, galley, and more. It's beautiful sitting up on the command bridge making ten knots on a sunny day. Charters on the cruiser include a combination of fishing, swimming, site seeing, barbequing rib-eyes & walleyes. Usually we make a 30 mile run out to Elk Island on Lake Winnipeg with stops at either the deserted or popular beaches, as suits your taste! It's a beautiful area to fish and swim. The charter includes all meals and snacks; you supply your own alcohol. Charter rates are $190 US per person minimum 2 people. Cost per person goes down as the number in the party increases.
